Role Summary

As a Machine Learning Infrastructure Developer, you are an integral member of the Imaging Systems group, a cohesive team of talented software developers and applied researchers. You are primarily responsible for designing and developing the scalable infrastructure that will accelerate the research and productization of Fio’s machine learning algorithms.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development Fio’s machine learning infrastructure
  • Develop tools and systems to facilitate rapid training and evaluation of algorithms and models
  • Develop multitenancy data solutions for large image data sets
  • Monitor, measure and optimize to meet the evolving research and production demands
  • Take an active role in the overall design and development of Fio’s machine learning solutions
  • Document technical specifications and test plans based on business and technical requirements

Your Core Strengths

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Expert knowledge of Python programming language
  • Experience with other programming languages (Java, C#, C++, Javascript)
  • Strong computer science fundamentals – data structures, algorithms and operating systems
  • Solid understanding of RESTful web services
  • Experience in parallel and distributed systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Some of Your Other Talents

  • Knowledge of web security and cryptography
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks
  • Experience with test automation and formal verification processes
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Azure Cloud Services
  • Knowledge of Matlab or Octave
  • Knowledge of computer vision and image processing
