KENYA
We created the technological components required to move Meru County, Kenya’s health system from paper-based to digital.
50,000+
Patient records
Healthcare activities at the health post level were digitally captured and made available to multiple levels of the healthcare system to ensure continuity of care as well as remote supportive supervision by managers.
COLOMBIA
Colombia’s National Disease Surveillance System used Fionet to track and treat dengue fever hotspots.
This real-time heatmap of the Armenia, Colombia was automatically generated by CHWs testing house to house, apartment block to apartment block.
This intelligence was used to locate and drain the main mosquito-breeding pool, putting an end to the outbreak.
SOUTH AFRICA
RSA’s National Health Lab Service used Fionet to establish how high-accuracy HIV testing could be performed outside the lab.
99.5%
Concordance rate for diagnoses
$1→ $5
NHLS concluded that for every dollar spent on Fionet, five dollars were saved through increased efficiency and reduction of inaccurate diagnoses.
“Fionet Platform provides a means for continuous quality control and reliable quality assessment in rapid diagnosis of HIV, effective and efficient patient care, data capturing, and high connectivity capabilities.”

CANADA
Fionet helped the Canadian government pioneer high-throughput COVID departure-testing at its busiest airport.
Fionet reduced testing time for pre-boarding of large jets from 3+ hours to 30 minutes, with each station capable of testing one passenger per minute.
The National Research Council used this project to help draft its recommended pandemic preparedness policy for the Canadian government.
“Fionet has been instrumental in advancing biosecurity defences that benefit passengers, airlines, airport workers, and residential areas that neighbour Toronto Pearson.”

Director of Safety & Security, Toronto-Pearson Airport
USA
United States Department of Defence Threat Reduction Agency used Fionet to demonstrate automated reading of multiplex diagnostic tests for natural outbreaks and weaponized pathogens.
Deployed Fionet technology on four continents to automatically read and upload rapid tests, each of which had a half-dozen biomarkers of different diseases.
Resulted in a DoD publication citing Fionet Platform’s capability to read multiplex test and capture real-time data.
“Fionet Platform proved essential for performing rapid diagnostic tests in the field and monitoring from remote locations.”
